More Inter Unit Compeitions

Dear cadets,

The following inter unit compeitions have been organised. Interested cadets, pls team up and see me for registration purposes. The most interesting one is the inter unit typing maniac compeition which is the application on Facebook.com.

1. Beatty Secondary School is organising an Inter-Unit Wii (boxing) competition this year.
Details of the competition are as follows:
Date : 9th Sept2009 (Fri)
Time : 9.00am -12 noon
Reporting Place : Beatty Secondary School AVA Room (Level 3)
Please note that each school should send a maximum of one team comprising 2 participants from any level.
The closing date for the registration is 2nd September 2009.

2. ***Hong Kah Secondary School is organizing an Inter-Unit Typing Maniac Competition.

Hong Kah Secondary School will set up one email address and Facebook account for participating schools. The account password will be told to by 7/9/2009, so that their cadets can use them to log in to play the game Typing Maniac on Facebook.

The game is played over a period from 7/9/2009 – 11/9/2009.
There is no limit to the number of cadets who can participate in the competition.
The school with the highest score seen on Facebook by 12/9/2009, 8 a.m. will be the winner.

Date: 7th September 2009 – 11th September 2009
Venue: School / Home

Closing date for the registration: 2nd September 2009

3. Yusof Ishak (Secondary) NPCC Unit is organising an Inter-Unit Poetry Competition.

The main objective of this competition is for students to display their creativity by sharing their thoughts and experiences in their respective units through poetry.

Each unit can send in a maximum of 2 teams, with 2 members in each team
Only 1 entry / poem to be submitted per team Content of entries

Poem can be about anything related to NPCCFor example, a description of experience in NPCC unit so far or a particular NPCC-related event Format

Participants are encouraged to present their poems creatively (e.g. using photographs)
Entries should be written in .doc/.pps format.Maximum 2MB file size Closing date for the registration: 04 September 2009.

4. *(a bit far from Anderson) Telok Kurau Sec NPCC will be orgainising a 7-a-side soccer tournament with the details as follows:
Date : 11th September 2009 (Friday)
Time : 8am to 12noon
Venue : Telok Kurau Secondary School
Attire : NPCC / school T-shirt and Track Pants. (school / sports shoes, no soccer boots)
Participants: This competition is open to all male NPCC cadets from other areas, age 16 yrs & below.
Closing date for the registration: 8 Sept 2009 (Fri).

5. Jurong Secondary School NPCC Unit is organizing an Inter-Unit Slogan Competition.

All NPCC Units are invited to send in 2 entries or more.
Theme of the Slogan Competition: Life in NPCC

The competition details are as follow:
Registration Period: 24 August – 4 September 2009
Deadline for Submission: 14 September 2009 (Monday)
Release of Results: 25 September 2009 (Friday)

6. Zhonghua NPCC is organising an inter-unit Comics Drawing competition. NPCC cadets are welcome to submit their artistic comic scripts based on two main themes:
1. Crime Prevention
2. A Day in NPCC
Each school is allowed to submit only 1 entry. Individual and group (not more than 3 members) submissions are allowed.
Entries can be done using watercolour, acrylic paint, crayons or colour pencils, actual copies must be mailed to Zhonghua Secondary School. Digital art entries are also accepted. Submission deadline is 30th September 2009.
