Taiwan Trip 06 Dec 2010

Dear Parents & Cadets,

It is definitely heartening to hear that many of you are keen to go on the trip.

As the number of cadets we can bring is limited, kindly inform me if you are keen for this trip by next tues 7 Sep 12 noon.

Parents, interested students have been each given a copy of the itinerary, we have also explained to them why the cost is higher than usual. Together, we have also given students copies of Form C, which allows students to apply for subsidies for the trip if required. A confirmed letter to parents will be prepared and given when the price is confirmed.

I seek your understanding in this matter and will of course try to get the best deal offered.

Thank you.

Educational & Cultural trip to Taiwan

Dear Cadets & Parents,

We are in the midst of evaluating the vendors who have actually quoted us for the above trip but I would like to prepare those of you who are keen that the cost of the trip is around $1600.

Kindly discuss with your parents if you can come along with us.

Date: 6 - 10 Dec 2010

For your information, it costs around $1600 as we are flying with SQ, and the air ticket would already cost about $1111.50. Other airline is not much cheaper, e.g. with China Airlines, the price quoted is only about $100 lesser.

So cadets whose parents who have yet had plans for you this Dec 2010, do consider coming along. There will not be drills for sure. ;)

We look forward to your keen interest and kindly inform us asap (by next friday) so that we will not miss giving out the information to.

Thank you.

Anderson NPCC Unit

P.S. Needy cadets who are keen, pls approach Mr Koh or Ms Audrey Tan to find out what forms of subsidy there may be eligible for you to apply for.

NPCC Cultural & Educational Trip to Taiwan Dec 2010

Dear Cadets & Parents,

To fulfil some of the training areas highlighted by NPCC HQ, in particular, personal development and leadership, Anderson NPCC unit is organising a short but fulfiling Cultural & Educational Trip to Taiwan in Dec 2010. This is also in line with our school strategic theme - to create a dynamic curriculum that supports the holistic development of students.

The tentative travel plans we have is around 6 - 12 Dec 2010 and it should be a 5D4N trip (so that we can be more prudent with the trip expenses necessary). As we are in the means of getting quotations for travel agencies to support us in this trip, so do hear more from us by Term 3 Week 9.

We do understand that Taiwan may be a Chinese city and this may not interest non-chinese students especially. However, we would still like to encourage all of you to join us to find out more about Taiwan as this will not be a trip that you will ever set off on your own. 2 years ago, a team of our teachers brought a group of 30 students to Taiwan and they surely have enjoyed themselves and have learnt a lot from it.

So we look forward to your interest in coming along with us this Dec 2010.

Anderson Sec NPCC Unit.
