CAMP 2012

Please adhere strictly to the packing list below. Of course, you can bring along other things you find necessary that is AUTHORISED. For the whole unit, the camp will be held from 4-5 June 2012. The reporting time is 8.30 am, so don't be late! Please also hand in the consent form(which can be found on Anderson Portal) if you haven't done so. Work hard and play hard! :D

NOTE: Unauthorised materials will be confiscated, this includes food and sleeping bags. A check will be conducted before the start of the camp. All valuables will be kept by ICs at the start of the camp and returned at the end of the camp.

Overview for recent trainings (Sec 3s)

Hello Sec 3s,

These 2 weeks may have been exhausting, physically and mentally(having to juggle schoolwork and cca) for most of you but persevere on! In less than 2 months, you'll all be the pillars of our unit, bringing Anderson's NPCC unit to greater heights.

Throughout the span of these two weeks, you have been exposed to several baton drills, namely:
1. Sedia
2. Senang Diri
3. Keluarkan chota rethakan diri
4. Sarongkan chota rethakan diri
5. Hormat Senjata
6. Rusok Senjata
Also, you would have learnt how to apply these to other drills (static and marching)
So, please remember to practise them at home using baton-like items.

In addition, you should know how to execute the following drills as well(we just taught you these today):
1/2/3.Memberi Hormat Semasa Berjalan Ke Hadapan/kenan/kiri hormat.
Once again, do practise these at home until you get the hang of it.

On a side note, we NCOS hope that over the weekends, as you celebrate the end of CA1, you will think of this quote and ponder how you want to take this unit to greater heights(although it isn't Thinking day) :

If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go as a team.

With that, have an enjoyable weekend and recharge yourself for more interesting experiences and challenges that you may face ahead, as a squad.

Inter unit Campcraft Competition 2012

Just today we have completed competing in 2012 inter unit campcraft competition for the girls' team and last sat, the boys' team.



Well done to both teams for putting up a good fight!

We (CIs and Sec 4 NCOs) will be there supporting our newly inducted Sec 1 junior in setting up and mantaining their orientation campfire.

Dear all,

Hope you are enjoying your december holidays.

Thanks for those who can go the extra mile and turn up for campcraft training. You know how important u are to us.

Thanks to the 2 Sec 2 cadets, Maggie and Gerald, for sucessfully completing the cadet leaders drill course. In 2012, we will get them to share with the next batch of NCOs.

Lastly congratulations to following cadets & NCOs who have joined me in the 1 star kayaking course. You have been awarded the cerificate. You are Xiang Qin, Winston, Wei Hong, Jia De, Kenny, Brenda, Asyraf, Leonard, Zhao Wei, Ivan, Haikal and Asffaq. Once again congratulations. I look forward to those who didn't manage to clear this time and those are keen to join us. We will do it in June this time. ;)

Mt Kinabula Climb Nov 2011

Dear Cadets and Parents,

Anderson NPCC unit is organizing a 4D3N Mt Kinabula Climb this 21-24 Nov 2011.

We have just evaluated 5 quotations and the cheapest quote is as mentioned to you via sms.

We strongly urge you (parents to encourage your child/ward) to join us as this will surely be an enriching experience for them as climbs like this is not that possible for any usual-sized family with varying physical fitness level.

More information will be shared with your child/ward on their last day of exams.

Latest Announcement for PK Course & Go-Kart

Dear Sec 2 & 3 Cadets,

Please understand that your attendance at PK is important and besides that, PK badge is one of the core badges that all should have. Making up for PK course can't really be possible due to availability of venue & resources while catching up work taught during extra Sep lesson is still possible through your friends as well as teachers.

Thus I hereby seek your fullest understanding in that.
