Best Wishes for 2011 SA1
Dear Cadets,
On behalf of all you NPCC teachers, we wish you all your best in your SA1.
For your information, NPCC Day is on the 7 May 2011. We will keep all of you informed when the school will commemorate NPCC. On that day, ALL cadets are expected to be in full uniform.

OVERSEAS EDUCATIONAL VISIT TO BEIJING MUNICIPAL PUBLIC SECURITY BUREAU AND BEIJING PEOPLE'S POLICE COLLEGE from 7 - 12 JUNE 2011
Dear All,
NPCC HQ hereby extends an invitation to all Secondary 3 cadets, Cadet Inspectors & interested Teacher Officers to apply for the Overseas Educational Visit to the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau and Beijing People's Police College. The visit will be held from 7 - 12 June 2011 and will bring the delegation to the People's Republic of China.
The delegation will comprise the following members :
1 x Head of Delegation
1 x SPF Staff Officer
1 x NPCC Teacher Officers
1 x NPCC Cadet Inspector
15 x Secondary 3 Cadets
Nomination of Cadets
Nomination and selection of cadets will be conducted on an area basis. ACs are to take note of the following when making their nominations :
Ø nominate ONE outstanding cadets as principal participants and another ONE cadets as reserve (Total - 2 nominations). Please indicate your principal nominees and reserves clearly in your nominations.
Ø nominations should preferably include one male and one female cadet.
Ø nominees (principal & reserves) MUST comply with the criteria as specified in the nomination form.
Nomination of Cadet Inspectors
Invitations are also extended to CIs. ACs, with the recommendations of your OCs/Dy OCs, may nominate deserving CIs to participate in the trip. Similarly, nominees must comply with the specified criteria. As there are limited number of places, ACs are advised to provide strong justifications in their nomination in order to increase their chances of being selected.
Nomination of Teacher-Officers
Teacher-officers, including OCs and Dy OCs, may apply for the trip. All applications must be accompanied with strong justification, supported by the AC and endorsed by the school principal. Please ensure teacher-officers can be released from school duties during the period of the trip.
Other Administrative Information
ACs are also advised to note and comply with the following admin instructions in their submission of nominations :
Ø Please use only the updated nomination forms as attached in this email
Ø All duly completed nomination forms must be accompanied with a copy of the valid passport and parent's consent (where applicable)
Ø Each cadet participant shall be required to pay 15% of the total cost, estimated at about $250.00 (Only for Singapore Citizens. PR and Non-citizens will have to bear the full cost). The final amount will be confirmed upon engagement of the travel agency. Details of payment to be made will be given together with the results of selection.
Ø Each participant must note that should they fail to honour the application once selected, they would be expected to bear the full cost of the visit to the tour agency.
Ø Selected candidates is required to attend a briefing where details will be released at a later date.
Ø All request for withdrawal must be made in writing addressed to 'Commandant NPCC' for consideration
Ø NPCC HQ reserves the right to make the final selection of deserving cadets, CIs & teacher officers
Ø Please help disseminate this information to the CIs and TOs in your units as many of them are not in this mailing list

80TH BATCH CADET INSPECTORS’ BASIC TRAINING COURSE JUNE 2011
I am pleased to inform you that NPCC HQ is organising the abovementioned course. The details of the course are as follows:
Course: 80th Cadet Inspectors’ Basic Training Course June 2011
Duration: Modular Courses28th May, 4th June, 11th June
Residential Course13th June to 25th June (including a 4-Day 3-Night ATC at NPCC Camp Resilience)
2 Cadets who meet the following requirements are eligible to apply:
a) Cadets graduated from the Secondary Education who are now currently studying in the Institution of Technical Education (ITE), Junior Colleges or Polytechnics or cadets who are in their 5th year of Integrated Programme (IP) studies.
b) Hold a minimum rank of Staff Sergeant.
c) Must be physically fit (required to pass the medical examination).
d) Possess ALL the following badges:
i) 2nd Class Drill
ii) Campcraft
iii) Adventure Training
iv) Police Knowledge
v) Total Defence
e) Possess at least one of the following badges:
i) Marksmanship
ii) Community Safety and Security
iii) Swimming
iv) Kayaking
3 OC Units MUST inform their nominees of the following:
a) NOMINEES WILL NOT NECESSARILY BE POSTED BACK TO THEIR ALMA MATER. NPCC HQ reserves the right to post one or more of the trainees to another school unit that is in need of Cadet Inspectors.
b) Disciplinary actions will be taken against any trainee who fails to serve in the unit he/she is posted to upon graduation. This may include withdrawal of rank given to him/her.
c) APPLICANTS MUST ENSURE THAT THEY HAVE NO OTHER COMMITMENT DURING THE CADET INSPECTORS’ BASIC TRAINING COURSE. Trainees will NOT be excused from the training sessions unless on medical or emergency ground. Trainees who fail to attend any training session without permission from the Course Manager will fail the course.
d) Any trainee who withdraws or is discharged from the course will have to return all uniform and accoutrements issued to him/her to HTCC Store. He/She has to pay for the cost of these items should he/she fail to return the items to HTCC Store.
4 Please fill in the attached nomination form (80th CIBTC OC Nomination Form), indicating clearly the contact number and email address of the nominees. ONLY selected nominees (by NPCC HQ) will be invited to go for their medical check-up, complete the CI Course Application Form and apply for the course online.
